(music starts)
"Butterflys
Just like the summer time and
Another July
Is sinking in the quicksand"

(fade in) Katie sits on a hotel bed and looks around. She slowly gets up and makes her way over to the window and lets out a heavy sigh. A hand comes on her shouldar and she turns around forcing a smile for Bruno.

"Wasting time
Maybe I was always dreaming
A simple rhyme
A love song with out a lead in"

Bruno holds her, but she doesn't respond. She pushes him away and folds her arms as she turns away from him trying not to cry. (fade out)

"Another day
Another burned out sunset
I Take a drink
And I smoke my cigarrete"

(fade in) Simon stands outside a dive motel and shakes his head sadly. He looks up at the cloudy sky and walks towads the hotel.(fade out)

"Try to stop
Try to keep from burning
Try to sleep
But the world keeps turning"

(fade in) Katie runs into the bathroom and locks the door. She sinks down to the floor and lets her tears flow.

"I can't forget
The way I feel right now"

She lays her head on the door and wipes her eyes. (fade out)

"Candlelight
Burns like the sun in your eyes
Falling behind
Time melts into the skyline"

(fade in) Simon lights a candle and watches it burn. He goes to the window and watches as the rain hits the window pane.

"Wasted life
Baby it was always something
Holding tight
My hands are full of nothing"

Lightening flashes and Simon doesn't even flinch. He puts his head in his hands covering his face.

"Another day
Another burned out sunset
I take a drink
And I smoke my cigarette"

When he takes his hands away from his face his eyes are all red and tears stain his face. He picks up a beer bottle and takes a sip. (fade out)

"Try to stop
Try to keep from burning
Try to sleep
But the world keeps turning"

(fade in) Bruno knocks at the door and katie jumps up but goes over to the sink instead of unlocking the door. She splashes some water over her face.

"I can't forget
The way I feel right now"

She drys her face with a towel.

(Instrumental break)

She looks at her self in the mirror and touches her redened face. She finds her purse by the sink and starts to franticly search through it crying again. (fade out)

"Another day
Another burned out sunset
I take a drink
And I smoke my cigarette"

(fade in) Simon traces the rim of the bottle and takes another swig before hurling it across the room watching it shatter into a thousand little pieces.

"Try to stop
Try to keep from burning
Try to sleep
But the world keeps turning"

He notices his wallet open on the table and picks it up. He sees Katie's smiling face and a sad smile appears on his. (fade out)

"Try to run
But I think I'm too slow
Try to leave
But I just can't let it go"

Katie dumps out her purse all over the floor and finally spots what she's looking for. She picks up the small picture and looks at Simon's smiling face and a sad smile appears on hers. (fade out)

"I can't forget
The way I feel right now"

(fade in) Simon places the picture, so it's standing upright, on his nightstand. He just lays down and stares at it. (fades out)

(Instrumental fade out)

(fade in) Katie steps out of the bathroom and sees Bruno curled up asleep on the bed. She goes over to the small couch and falls asleep clutching hte picture of Simon to her heart. (fade out)

(Music ends)
